Productivity Enhancement formerly known as Focused Industry Training

by Alan Murdock last modified 11/17/2008

The state funded Productivity Enhancement formerly known as Focused Industry Training (FIT) program is designed to serve the special needs of existing North Carolina manufacturing industries and businesses with maintenance personnel. The sponsored courses help offset training costs while giving customized needs assessments, consultations and highly specific instruction to area manufacturers and maintenance employees.

CPCC may use these funds to help local industries target critical skills that change as technology changes. Often held on-site at a company, the productivity enhancement program may be especially valuable for specialized instruction for a small group of skilled and semi-skilled production workers, industrial maintenance workers and their immediate supervisors. Experienced instructors address topics from basics to advanced technical needs, quality and process control methods, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
