Occupational Safety/OSHA

by ploneadmin last modified 03/26/2008

Developing and maintaining a safe work environment is no accident. It takes proper skill, planning, execution and commitment. Build your safety training program in compliance with North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Act. For information, visit http://www.dol.state.nc.us/osha/osh.htm

CPCC offers custom and public courses and workshops to help companies reach compliance and improve their overall level of safety performance. Training is available at your site or on campus for certification, front-line employees, and safety leaders.

Don't know where to start? Visit the NC Department of Labor at: http://www.dol.state.nc.us/osha/osh.htm. Then, let CPCC conduct a "site survey" to determine your specific safety training suggestions as they relate to the compliance.

Courses and workshops available either on-site or open to the public include:

  • 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA General Industry Outreach
  • 10-hour OSHA Construction Outreach
  • Hazardous Communication Awareness
  • HAZWOPER
  • Lock out/Tag out and Electrical Safety
  • Confined Space Entry - Permit Required
  • Forklift Operator Certification and Refresher
  • Forklift Operator Certification - Train the Trainer

  • Industrial First Aid, CPR and AED
