Automotive Systems Technology
Entry-level technicians in the Automotive Systems Technology Cooperative Education Program earn a two-year associate degree that upgrades their technical competence and professionalism. Our high-tech facilities are located in the heart of Charlotte, home of NASCAR, and our Automotive Systems Technology program is considered one of the best in the country.
The curriculum is jointly designed by industry and CPCC and features classroom lectures and laboratory sessions on late-model vehicles and components. It also includes a paid work experience with a sponsoring employer. Each specialized subject is covered within the classroom and laboratory at the college and is immediately followed by related work experience. Graduates then have the option of transferring to a university for a bachelor’s degree.
