Certified Financial Planner ®

The public's growing need for objective financial planning advice, combined witht the rigorous standards demanded of CFP certificants, has placed the CFP Certification at the forefront of the financial planning profession. 

 


CFP® Certification is a nationally and internationally recognized professional credential.  The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., awards the CFP® CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER  and CFP (WITH FLAME LOGO) marks to individuals that fulfill these initial and ongoing certification requirements:

 

 

  • satisfy education requirements
  • meet three to five years of work experience in a financial planning field
  • pass the CFP® Certificcation Examination
  • comply with the CFP Board's Code of Ethics & Professional Responsibility
  • meet continuing education and recertification requirments

Begin your educational experience at CPCC.  The curriculum, seven courses taken over 11 months, consists of the following courses: 

Fundamentals of Financial Planning 

Insurance Planning 

Investment Planning 

Tax Planning 

Retirement Planning 

Estate Planning 

Case Studies in Financial Planning
