Health & Community Services
The Department of Health and Community Services provides quality entry-level job training in the health and human services field. We work closely with area businesses and facilities to provide training that meets their needs, and we can create course content, class length and location solutions to meet their particular requirements. Our outcome-based approach to teaching improves our students' chances of employment and is helping to meet Mecklenburg County’s growing healthcare needs.
Keep in mind that many of our classes require basic literacy and math skills, departmental permission, and/or other prerequisites. Be sure to check these requirements when considering a course or program.
