What do I do if....

A student brings a child to class?

 

Each campus determines whether children who accompany an adult are allowed in the classroom according the Policies and Procedures text.

I have a student who needs assistance?

 

Contact Disability Services

Please make Security aware of any individuals who are handicapped.  In case of an emergency evacuation; Security would need to know the location of anyone who needed assistance in leaving the building

I need to change a student’s grade?

Contact the registrar at your campus for a grade change form. Grade changes are NOT made via phone, email, or fax.

I need classroom supplies?

Contact your Program Developer and/or Director.

My classroom requires cleaning after class?

 

It is your responsibility to leave the room in the same condition in which you found it.  If there are papers on the floor, paint in the sink, glue on the tables, etc.  Please clean it up before you leave.

I’m finished with my class early?

 

You must stay in the classroom the hours your class is assigned to meet.  Auditors have a habit of showing up for the last 15 minutes of a class.  We need you to be there.

I must miss a class meeting?

If you are unable to teach due to illness or some unforeseen circumstances, please let your Program Developer know immediately.  If a substitute cannot be found, the class may be extended a day or other arrangements

In case of severe weather?

When severe weather or other emergencies create situations, which so warrant, the college may be closed or operations curtailed.  In this event, all members of the college community should listen to area radio and television stations, call (704-330-6888) or check our website at http://www.cpcc.edu for announcements regarding the operation of the college.

My classroom is locked?

Contact Campus Security at 704-330-6911. (Be prepared to show your employee ID.)

A student is behaving inappropriately?

Refer to the Student Code of Conduct for guidelines.

A student is posing an immediate threat?

Call Campus Security at 704-330-6911.

I am experiencing classroom technology issues?

Call the ITS Help Desk at 704-330-5000

I need a textbook and/or course outline?

Contact your Program Developer and/or Director.

 

How do I…

Enter final grades?

Final grades are entered from within WebEmployee (WebAdvisor).

Handle student registration issues?

Contact Customer Service at  704.330.4223

Check out College Library materials/equipment?

All library materials/equipment are checked out using your CPCC employee ID.

 

Where do I…

Get an employee ID?

ID facilities are available at each campus; check with Admissions for ID Room hours. New employees must provide proof of employment.

Get photocopies?

 

All copies should be made before the first class.  If you have a large quantity of material to be copied, it can be done through the college repro system.  Contact your Developer at least 2 weeks before you need the material and let them know what you will need.  Remember we cannot copy anything that is copyrighted.

Small quantities of copies may be done through your Developer. 

Obtain a parking sticker?

Submit your vehicle information online to Preferred Parking; your sticker will be mailed to you.

Obtain a card key for the Central Campus Employee Parking deck?

Financial Services will provide one (1) card key per employee upon receipt of a $5 deposit, refundable upon return of card key. A replacement card key will be provided with a $15 nonrefundable fee.
