New!
CPCC is pleased to announce a new offering of KEPNERandFOURIE's Problem Solving and Decision Making.
The most important functions of management today are:
-
Making effective decisions
-
Efficiently solving problems
Many companies often lack the necessary common language or approach to make quick, effective decisions or engage the right people in problem solving. The KEPNERandFOURIE approach provides management and employees with proven and tested methods to improve their individual and collective problem solving and decision making capabilities. The approach expedites practical application of problem solving and decision making processes by engaging the rational, creative and intuitive dimensions of thinking that exist in organizations.
Developed collaboratively by Dr. Chuck Kepner and Dr. Mat-thys Fourie in 1997, this method integrates Intuitive, Rational, and Creative thinking in a step-by-step approach called Systems Thinking. This 3-day comprehensive, hands-on, skill building workshop equips participants with a proven and tested method of finding causes to problems and specific information gathering and analysis techniques to enable them to create the best possible solution.
Participants will learn these Problem Solving & Decision Making Thinking Skills:
- How to set priorities
- How to analyze a complex and vague problem
- How to find the true cause to technical deviations, recurring and start up problems
- How to create and/or develop a solution based on predetermined requirements
- How to develop unique solutions for unique company situations
- How to make a choice between given alternatives
- How to uncover blind spots in plans or decisions
Who Should Attend? Anyone in management, supervisory, or professional positions who need to solve problems and/or make decisions.
If your organization is using Six Sigma strategies to improve processes and create greater efficiencies, consider KEPNERandFOURIE's PSDM thinking process to support by providing a link for any Six Sigma or Lean technique to a common thinking process everyone understands from the engineer level to the craftsman level.
