Direct deposit for Part Time Employees begins January 2010

Effective January 1, 2010 all Part Time employees will be paid by direct deposit to a bank account or debit card beginning in January 2010, so sign up for direct deposit soon so you have plenty of time to decide how you would like to have your pay deposited.

Now is the time to sign up for Direct Deposit to a checking, savings, and in the near future, a pay card through Higher One. We will soon be offering the convenience of having your pay deposited to a pay card which can be used at one of the ATM’s on campus or any Point of Sale terminal. CPCC will have Higher One materials available in November so you can sign up for this great new benefit. You also have the option of opening a free checking account with SunTrust bank or any financial institution you choose.

You can access the direct deposit form on the link below:

http://inside.cpcc.edu/payroll/forms/CPCC%20Direct%20Deposit%20Form%20010308.pdf

The completed form should be delivered to any Human Resource Express office on your campus or mailed to:

Central Piedmont Community College
Attn:  Payroll Department
PO Box 35009
Charlotte, NC    28235

The many benefits of direct deposit of pay:

  • Payment is in your account on the pay date, instead of waiting for a check in the mail

  • Supports Business Continuity to ensure payroll is direct deposited to your accounts

  • Saves you trips to your financial institutions and time in cashing/depositing payroll checks – you don’t have to wait in long lines at the bank

  • Saves you fuel costs in travel to your bank

  • Eliminates late, lost, or stolen checks and associated costs of possible overdrafts as a result

  • Your pay is deposited even if you are on vacation or away from the office on pay day

  • Your banking information is safe and secure

  • Provides you with flexibility and convenience in financial management through availability of multiple accounts and automated deposits to checking, savings, debit card, or money market accounts

  • Saves you check cashing fees if you do not have a bank account
