Mixed media collage is an art form in which the artist uses more than one medium to create a finished piece. This class will explore the use of various acrylic mediums to extend paints and create collaged works on paper, canvas and gessoed board. You will make your own archival collage paper using tissue paper, rice paper and a variety of other papers. Other techniques covered in class will include how to make your own stamps and transfers from copied materials and incorporate them into your finished piece.
