Belly dancing is a wonderful, fun way to exercise and celebrate the human form in all shapes and sizes. This ancient art form is performed to celebrate life, beauty, and creativity. Music is an integral part of the dance, which evolved as preparation for childbirth, "or from the belly, the source of life." Today, belly dancing is highly regarded as a fun way to strengthen core muscles and keep fit. You'll learn to isolate movements and control individual parts of the body, including arms and hands. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing that does not restrict your movement.
