Motorcycle Riding and Street Skills

MIC 8780

20 hours


This weekend course is specifically designed for those with no motorcycle riding experience, yet advanced enough to increase knowledge and riding skills of experienced riders. Course consists of class work and riding exercises on motorcycles provided by the college. Upon satisfactory completion of this
course you will receive a waiver for the skills portion of the NC DMV license test. Must be at least 16 years old.

IF FOR ANY REASON A STUDENT CANNOT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THIS CLASS, THEY WILL NEED TO RE-REGISTER AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.

Class meets 6pm - 9pm Friday Night and 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Saturday and Sunday.  One hour lunch Sat & Sun.


Motorcycle Riding and Street Skills for Women

20 hours

Ready to go solo? Join this section designed just for women wanting to learn to ride. The course is specifically designed with a lower student-teacher ratio and paced for those with no motorcycle riding experience however; the student should have the balancing ability to ride a bicycle prior to class. Course consists of class work and riding exercises on motorcycles provided by the college. Upon satisfactory completion you will receive a waiver for the skills portion of the NC DMV license test. Must be at least 16 years old.

WITH UNSUCCESSFUL COURSE COMPLETION, FOR ANY REASON, RE-REGISTRATIONWILL BE AT THE STUDENT’S EXPENSE.


Weekday Motorcycle: Riding and Street Skills
MIC 8785 20 hours

This weekday course is specifically designed for those with no motorcycle riding experience, yet advanced enough to increase knowledge and riding skills of experienced riders. Course consists of class work and riding exercises on motorcycles provided by the college. Upon satisfactory completion of this course you will receive a waiver for the skills portion of the NC DMV license test. Must be at least 16 years old.

WITH UNSUCCESSFUL COURSE COMPLETION, FOR ANY REASON,

RE-REGISTRATION WILL BE AT THE STUDENT’S EXPENSE.


Experienced Rider and License Waiver Prep Course
MIC 8795 8 hours

The Experienced Rider/LicenseWaiver Preperation Course is designed for motorcycle riders who are already licensed or have a NC permit and wish to obtain full NC licensure. This one day course covers street riding strategies and reinforces important information about traction, cornering and countersteering. Students must provide a safe, street-ready motorcycle. Riders must provide proof of insurance in class. Students looking to obtain a waiver for the skills portion of the NC DMV license test must pass a written and riding skills test. Must be at least 16 years old.

IF FOR ANY REASON A STUDENT CANNOT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THIS CLASS, THEY WILL NEED TO RE-REGISTER AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.
