Introduction to Screenwriting

Do you have a keen interest in films/TV and the desire to write feature-length scripts? Introduction to Screenwriting focuses on generating the story idea, creating the outline, organizing the structure, pitching the idea, and the final draft. This class will address the ins-and-outs of the screenwriting business; how to get in it and navigate through it. Students will analyze narrative structure, openings, and elements of scenes. Instruction will include lecture, discussions, writing, exercises, reading of scripts, and possible film viewings.
