Registration Policies...

Continuing Education students are NOT required to submit an application to the college for enrollment and do NOT need to obtain previous transcripts. 

North Carolina residency is NOT required for Continuing Education classes.

Registration for Continuing Education students is ongoing throughout the term. Students may register for classes anytime before the class begins providing seats are available.

North Carolina residents who are 65 years of age or older pay NO tuition for Continuing Education Occupational Extension classes as indicated by OE in the refund column of each course. Self supporting Continuing Education classes denoted by SS in the refund column of each course require tuition payment from all participants regardless of age.

Payment Options & Refund Policies...

CPCC accepts credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and American Express), money order, or check. 

Self-Supporting Classes (indicated by SS after the course description under the “Refund” column) are eligible for a refund based on the following policy:

    • Students must withdraw at least seven (7) business days prior to the start date of the class to be eligible for a full refund.
    • After seven (7) business days prior to the start date, students are responsible for the entire class fee.
    • If you do not withdraw and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.
    • Tuition will be refunded 100% for any classes canceled by the College.

Occupational Extension Classes (indicated by OE after the course description under the “Refund” column) are eligible for a refund based on the following policy:

    • 100% of tuition paid will be refunded by the College if the student officially withdraws prior to the first day of the class.
    • 75% of tuition paid will be refunded by the College if the student officially withdraws on or after the first day through the 10% point of the class.
    • Tuition will be refunded 100% for any class canceled by the College.
    • Certain courses charge a $14.00 lab fee, with a maximum $56.00 lab fee per semester.

 

Other Fees:

    • A $4.00 CAPS fee per class (with a maximum $55.00 per semester) for Campus Access, Parking, and Security is required for Continuing Education courses that meet on college campuses.
    • A technology fee of $5.00 is charged for each Occupational Extension (OE) class.
    • Certain courses charge a $14.00 lab fee, with a maximum $56.00 per semester.
    • Student accident insurance and/or professional liability insurance may be required for certain courses.
    • Certain courses require books and or additional materials.

Additional Information...

 

  • Parking decals are required for Continuing Education students attending class on the Central Campus.  Decals are not required at other CPCC campuses.
  • Student Identification cards are available to Continuing Education students, but are not required. Identification cards are necessary to use the Library, Academic Learning Center, and Testing Center and can be obtained on the Central Campus in the Central High Building.
