WorkKeys System

by Alan Murdock last modified 10/28/2009

WorkKeys® is a system that assist employers in their hiring and promotion decision. When used appropriately the WorkKeys® system is EEOC compliant and ensures that the applicant has the core employability skills to be successful in their new position.

How does the system work?

First – A position must be profiled by a trained and certified Job Profiler. This process typically takes 2-3 weeks. Roughly, 20-25 hours of this process includes incumbent workers, working with the Job Profiler to set the assessment levels.

Second - Assess the candidates to determine if they posses the core employability skills needed for the job. Assessments can be purchased at Central Piedmont Community College; each assessment has its own pricing structure.

Third – If the candidate falls short of the required assessment scores, skills gap training may be delivered through the Central Piedmont Community College.

Finally - WorkKeys have practice exams available to you for a nominal expense.
